E.L.F. Haul!!!

So a while ago, I made a elf order when they had their 50% off studio line and this is what I got.
The elf High Definition Powder

I think this powder is really moisturizing, considering how dry my skin is, but I'm not sure about how HD it is, but I do think its a wonderful setting powder for dry skin since its very mosturizing.  It's also very fine and so it doesn't look cakey at all when I have it on.  It doesn't look like I have anything extra on my skin after I put it on, but my skin feels smoother after it's on.  So all in all, I would recommend this powder to people with dry skin that needs a moisturizing powder.

The elf Complexion Perfection

I bought this powder to set the area under my eye for when I use concealer, because I had watched Makeup by Tiffany D's videos on base makeup and she always recommends the Benefit Powderflage, which is a pinkish fine powder.  Well I also watched a lot of elf reviews on the elf Complexion Perfection and a lot of people like to use the pink and yellow part to set the area under the eyes.  After trying this out for a few days, I will say that the powder is very fine and it doesn't look cakey under my eye, but I don't feel like it brightened my eye area that much.  Other than that, I'm very satisfied with this powder because its very fine and it sets my concealer pretty well.

The elf Eyebrow Kit

I got the eyebrow kit in medium because I heard some reviews very people with black hair got dark and it was too dark for them and I do think dark probably would have been too dark.  I'm quite liking the medium right now, although I only do my brows on special occasions like going out or something.  Sometimes when I have an extra minute or 2 in the morning I would try to tame my messy brows with the wax, and I think it does an okay job at it.  My brows are very messy and hard to tame and I feel that this powder isn't strong enough to "wax" it in place.  So my final verdict on this brow kit is that its okay, but I probably won't repurchase this when I finish it up.

The elf Kabuki Face Brush

This brush is soooooo soft.  When I first opened it, I kept stroking it over and over again because it was sooooo soft.  It was still super soft after I washed it, and to my surprise it didn't take that long to dry.  I washed it before I went to bed and it was dry already when I woke up the next morning.  It's not dense enough to use for mineral powder though,  I used it with my Maybelline Mineral Power and I feel that couldn't buff the powder into my skin, I still find my elf Powder Brush better for buffing in mineral powder.  It is good to use with my elf High Definition Powder though, it deposits just the right amount of powder and it feels sooo good on my face.  So I think this brush probably isn't that good for mineral powders but its good for finishing powders.

Face Brushes

The elf Blush Brush
I got this brush for highlighting the area under the eyes and I love it!  It's the perfect size and its super soft.  I use it with the Complexion Perfection and it picks up the powder really well.  All in all I love this brush.

The elf Complexion Brush
This brush is also really soft but I don't really have a use for it.  I have used it once to contour my face with bronzer, and it was okay for that.  It is really soft though.

Eye Brushes

The elf Eyeshadow "C" Brush
I don't really like this brush, its super hard to clean and I have to rinse it for a good 10 minutes until the soap suds completely disappear, and after it dried it still feels a little sticky so I don't want to use it for anything.  So I don't know if I just got a crappy brush, or that it's always that hard to clean, but I don't like it because now I can't use it at all. =(

The elf Small Angled Brush
This brush is pretty good for eyebrows, but I originally got it for gel eyeliner, but I feel its too thick for that.  I like really precise fine lines so I don't think this brush is good for gel eyeliners.

The elf Small Smudge Brush
This brush is fine enough for gel eyeliner and I'm liking it so far.  I do have to wash it everyday after I use it though, or else it turns really hard and I can't get a proper line from it.

Thats it for my elf haul! Many more hauls to come now that its summer!!! =)

Post Exam Face =P

So this is what I looked like after my crazy exams.
I wore only mascara to my exams, didn't have time to do full makeup, but still wanted to look decent =P

And after my exams I went to Daiso and picked up a few things =)

These two roller thingys is to massage the face so that it depuffs from water retention.  I will probably demonstrate how to use it later.

This brush is for foaming up cleansers and washing the face. It makes my face really smooth, I totally recommend.

OR
Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini pro

I know it's totally makeup unrelated but they just looked so cool so I wanted to share it with you guys =P

Laura Mercier Mineral Powder SPF 15

I've heard really good reviews about how this mineral powder is really good for dry skin, so I wanna try this out.

L'Oreal Lash Boosting Serum

I've also heard good reviews on this product and I'll probably do a review on this after I get it.

Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller

Since I've been getting no sleep lately I have very puffy eyes and I'm getting very conscious of them, so hopefully this can reduce some of the puffiness.

Maquillage Lasting Stick UV Foundation

This is a new product from Maquillage so I haven't seen any reviews on it yet, but I don't have a stick foundation so I wanna try this out!

EDIT: I wanted to add in another product that I just found out about. Its the Kose Cosmagic Sweet Deco Cheek.   Isn't it so cute?

Have you guys tried these products out? If so, would you recommend them?

Well, my study break is over so its time for me to get back to studying!

Random Deal!

So last weekend, me and my friend were shopping and I needed to go pick up some more Shiseido softener from the Bay, while we were there we noticed that they had Two Faced Products selling for 75% off!  There wasn't much to choose from though, because the Bay was discontinuing carrying this line, so that's why it was on sale.  But nonetheless, it was a great deal and I ended up getting a 20 something dollar eyeshadow duo for about 7 dollars! =)

Maybelline Dream Matte Concealer Review + EOTD March 25

So I bought the Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer a few weeks ago, and I've used it a few times, but I'm not sure how I think of it yet. Some days I like it, some days I think it looks cakey. And since I have dry skin, I sometimes think it makes my skin look even more dry than it already is, but if I'm careful and I put enough eye cream on before applying my concealer then its okay.

And here is my EOTD using the Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer, and the Lavshuca eye palette in BR-1.

My eye does look quite dry doesn't it?

Blush Collection + Reviews

As I had said in my previous post, I'm going to review the blushes I got from Adam's Beauty and show everyone all the blushes I have.

First I'll start off with the most expensive one I got, which is the Jill Stuart one in 02 rose bloom.  Its also my favourite out of all the blushes I got! =)

This is my favourite blush because it gives a very nice light flush of color, I also like blushes that give a more cool pink because I look nicer with cool colors and its usually hard for me to find cool pink blushes, so I`m very happy that Jill Stuart has this color.  I also find that with this blush, its very easy to control how much you've put on, and its hard to overdo your blush using this.  The brush that comes with it is also super soft and dense, and I just use it for applying my Jill Stuart blush so that different blush colors don`t mix.

My next favourite out of the 3 that I got is the Maquillage Face Creator in 11.

I love this blush palette mainly because of the contour color.  Before I got this palette, I used to use the bronzer from Rimmel, but I didn't like it because I found that the bronzer looked too yellowy for my liking.  I have really pale skin that doesn't really have a yellow undertone even though I'm asian, my skin actually has more of a pink undertone so when I used the bronzer, it didn't really match my skin and it was very obvious that I was contouring.  But with this new contour color, it looks more natural and its not as obvious when I do contour.
My second favourite part of this palette is the highlighter.  Since I've been getting only 4 hours of sleep every night for 2 weeks (because of non stop midterms and assignments), I have severe dark circles and bags under my eyes, and the only thing that kept me looking nice was using highlighter under my eyes.  My roomate even said I've been looking nicer these days even though I get no sleep and I think its because of the highlighter.
I haven't really used the other colors in this pallet much though, because I don't really use bronzer, and I've been using the blush from Jill Stuart so I haven't used the blush color in this palette.

Lastly, I will talk about the Coffret D'or blush in PK-25.

This is a really nice blush and I love the little brush that it comes with and the packaging is AMAZING.  The packaging is clean and pretty and I love how there's a separate compartment for the brush and how the blush doesn't all spill out because there's a "protector thing" that keeps the powder in.  The inside of the cap is also a mirror, which I thought was pretty cool.
The only reason why I didn't like this blush as much was because I thought it was a lighter pink than it actually turned out to be.  The color came out very similar to the mineralized blush dainty from MAC, so I was kinda sad that I ended up having duplicates of the same color.

In addition to the 3 new blushes I got from Adam's Beauty, here is the rest of my blush collection.

This blush was a limited edition blush from Loreal, and as you can see I've used up all of one side since I loved it soooo much.  I still have to finish up the other side, which is the highlighter, and the highlighter is really good too.  It gives the same effect as the highlighter from the Maquillage blush palette.

This is the Dior Show Powder in 002 girly pink.  It doesn't give off much color, but it does add a nice shimmer/ sparkle to the face.

Next is the Rimmel blush in Santa Rose, its more of a peachy color, so I don't use it as much because I like pinks, but I still use it sometimes when I want a peachy glow.

This is a blush from Majolica Majorca in PK333, and this was the default blush that I used to use everyday before I had the Jill Stuart blush.

And lastly, from MAC, the mineralize blush in dainty, I like to use this blush on my extra pale days, where I look like a ghost because I've had no sleep and all color is drained from my face, and this blush makes me look awake and healthy again. lol

And that is my whole blush collection, I don't have too much since I like to use one color and stick to it and I don't like having duplicates.  I hope you all enjoyed this review! =)

My next post will probably be a eye shadow collection so stay tuned for it! =)
